Literacy for Adults

One-on-one or small group tutoring, assisting in reading, math, language and daily living skills. GED studies and Workforce and Career Development


English as a Second Language

One-to-one or small group tutoring
that provides reading,
writing and conversational English skill development.


Family Literacy

Thought selected PACT kits [Parents and Children Together], we work together to cultivate a love for reading and reinforce the importance of learning in the home.

The Volusia Literacy Council is a partnership of United Way Volusia-Flager County and Daytona State College

Online Learning

VLC offers online tutoring for students using video communication applications such as Zoom when applicable and available. One-on-one tutoring is not replaced, but blended into the lessons using a combination of online educational applications and student textbooks provided primarily by New Readers Press.
